PLEASE OH PLEASE DON'T LET THE FUN END

Well, this will be our last time going to Disney World for a while.  Our year passes expire the day after we leave.    We would of left the day after school got out (May 28th), but my nephew Lorin was getting baptized on the 29th and Lincoln was getting the Aaronic priesthood that day as well.  Being Memorial weekend and the Tady side of the family coming down that was the best weekend for the baptism.  So, we left on Memorial day.  The great thing about this trip is that all the kids in the Orlando area were still in school for another 2 weeks right before we left for home.   We were able to stay for 13 days.  I calculated out how many days I was in an actual Disney park this year and for me it was 45 days.  Jon and the other kids were closer to 40 days, because I went every time someone from our family was going.  That is 1 1/2 months at a Disney park.  Since we were able to go to every park at least 3 times we were able to do things we usually just skip because of either really long lines or they are not our favorites.
This is the 2nd time our kids went on the Indy speedway car ride.  We usually skip this because if you don't do this ride first the line get real long and stays that way the rest of the day.  But since we had 4 days at this park we were able to do it.  The kids really love driving.

Right after the Indy car ride we raced over to these rockets and went on them.  I don't even know if any of our kids have ever been on this ride. If you don't go first thing this ride will be a very long wait.  It takes a long time because you have to ride an elevator in groups to get to the ride.  The kids had a great time on it.

Since Animal Kingdom is one of the smallest parks and easy to finish in a day, we decided to do it all (except the bird show, Flights of Wonder).  We usually skip the train ride that take you to a petting zoo, and another big building that cares for the animals and there is a sounds room where it is all dark and you put on head phones and listen to different sound of the forest (animals, insects, etc)

Another day we went to Magic Kingdom we did the Tea Cup ride.  I don't think I have ever done this ride in Disney World.  I remember doing it and getting really dizzy and feeling sick to my stomach at Disney Land.  Probably why I never wanted to do this one again.  Once I found out you can control the rotation, we went on it.  We did this one first thing in the morning so we were able to go on it twice since there was no line.  It was fun and the kids loved it so I'm sure we will have to add this one to our must do rides.

We were able to go to Hollywood Studios during the Star Wars weekend.  It was fun, but very crowded especially over by the Star Tours ride.  Luckily we will be back another 2 times this trip so it all good.

We always have to go to Downtown Disney at least one time per trip.  The boys favorite store is the Lego store.  They just got done remodelling this store.  Which is a great thing because it was way to small and crowded.  Now it is much more roomier.
They also added a lot of new large Lego displays outside.

This had to be Talmage's highlight of the whole trip.  He got to drive the Jungle Cruise boat.  At the end she gave him a boat licence.  Of course, he thought is was real and could now drive any boat anytime.  It took Jon and I a while to convince him it was only a license to drive the Jungle Cruise boat.

Another first is doing the Jedi training at Hollywood Studios.  When the park opened, we headed straight over to the Jedi training area to sign up to do this later in the day.  By the time we got there the line was already pretty long.  It took a long while to get the 3 kids signed up to do it.  Our time slot was for just after lunch time.  The kids had a great time going up against Darth Vader.

At Epcot we did a couple first.  We saw the Michael Jackson 3 D movie, Captain EO.  I remember watching the when I was 12 years old.  I think that was the last time I saw it and now I remember why.  It isn't that good.  They just brought it back because Michael Jackson is dead and thought it would be popular.  Since we don't go over to this theatre very often, because the 3D show before was Honey I Shrunk the Audience and we have only seen that a couple time the kids never get to see the water flying through the air.  We spent along time at this spot and the kids just loved it and of course a few of them were soaking wet.  I will have to remember this spot for next time.  It is right where you come out of the theatre.  Next time I will skip the show and walk up the back way to the water fun.

This is the first time we went to the Magic Kingdom night show all year.  The reason why we don't do this night show very often is because is starts so late, and it is very crowded to get out of the park when it is over since you have to take the boat or monorail to get to your car.  We have never seen the Main Street Electrical Parade.  They traded night show with Disney Land and now Disney Land has the Spectro Magic show.  I like the Spectro Magic parade better, but it was a nice change.
It was a great trip and of course we all were very sad to say goodbye not knowing when we would be back.  Our goal is Jon's birthday next year.  His birthday is the last day of school.  I think by then the first phase of the new Magic Kingdom addition will be opened.
