November 2010

The first 3 weeks of November was nothing out of the ordinary, scouts, activity days girls, visiting teaching, volunteering at the kids school, Talmage's 7 year old check up, 3 dentist appointments, and flu mist for everyone (except Jon).  The week before Thanksgiving Jon and I went to Hayden's school and watched him perform his little Thanksgiving play.  He was an Indian and whenever the narrator said Indian's he had to say big and brave.  It was very cute.  Same one Talmage did 2 years earlier.  Then they sang 3 Thanksgiving songs and then we went into their cafeteria for a Thanksgiving feast.  I signed up to make a Turkey.  It was yummy if I do say so myself.

Then the following day, Nov. 19 Jon and I went to Connor's school for his Thanksgiving feast.  The cafeteria workers did a real good job at preparing all this food for the special needs classes all while getting ready and making lunch for the rest of the middle school.  Because I had 2 Thanksgiving meals already I'm not too sad about not having one in a week on Thanksgiving day.
On November 20 Brenton had a wonderful opportunity to see and hear John Bytheway, a fabulous LDS youth speaker.  Brenton at first didn't really want to go he thought it would be boring but Jon and I talked him into it.  Jon and I have watched him on BYU TV a few times and he is excellent.  When Brenton got back, he said it was so good that the time just flew by and he didn't want it to end he wanted to stay all day and listen to him speak.  I am so glad he had that opportunity.
Since Hayden goes to school in a different county he had the whole week of Thanksgiving off.  The other kids only have Wed-Fri off.  We did have the other kids skip Tuesday so we could drive down to Disney World.  We are meeting up with the Weihl family for the rest of the week.  We haven't seen their family since I was pregnant with Hayden.  So just over 5 years ago.  It was so great seeing them and everything picked like we were just with them last weekend.  We went to all four of the Disney parks and had a great time.  The best part was having what we call super fast passes.  9 months ago, we participated in Disney give a day get a day.  Since we bought year passes and didn't need a free ticket for a day we turned them in for super fast passes.  We got 7 Disney give a day passes (Hayden was too young you had to be at least 6) and each one let us get super fast passes for our whole family so we have 7 days of super fast passes.  We used 4 of them in June and we were saving the last 3 for Thanksgiving.  So our first 2 days at getting our super fast passes they gave us each a super fast pass for both of our families.  The 3rd day we weren't so lucky.  They only gave us 10 total.  This is how the super fast passes work.  At each park they give you a handout and on that hand out has their fast passes for that specific park divided into two sections.  Each section allows you to get fast passes for any of those listed rides up to 3 times.  So lets say you are at Hollywood Studios.  One section would have the rides Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror, and Rockin Roller Coaster.  So out of that section you can get 3 fast passes for any of those rides.   So you can do one of each or all 3 of one ride or 2 of one one of another.  And the same applies for the other section.  Each person had their own super fast pass ticket.  So we used the super fast pass tickets along with our tickets and were able to do a lot of cool rides without the wait and some of the rides multiple times.  The weather was great the whole time and it was crowded but with super fast passes crowds weren't a problem.  Now on to the pictures.  I can't believe I didn't have one picture with any of the Weihl's.  So basically you would have never know we went with them.  I know Leanne took a bunch with us in them.
