Every year the zoo stays open a few hours later for annual pass holders. Since we bought a pass a few months back we decided to go. We thought that in the early evening would be much cooler than during the day. Boy were we wrong. The weather was still very hot and humid (Sat. Sept 6). I think the weather was still in the mid 80s the whole time we were there. Oh well we still had fun even though we were sweaty. Here are a few pictures of the evening.

I love the zoo. So is the one in Atlanta a big one? My favorite is the San Diego Zoo. So much to do and see. Would take 2 days. I wish the one here wasn't so stinking small. But atleast we can get thru it fast. But I wish they had more animals or activities. Oh well. Sounds like you all had fun.

It's not as big as the San Diego one. Love that zoo too. But bigger than the Grand Rapids zoo. I would say it is just the right size at least for our family. After a while we get a little animaled out, so we breeze through the last few animals so the next time we go we go the opposite way so we spend a little more time on those.
